I'll agree with Rick on every aspect he's mentioned. I use the MF-2 on my Frankentuba, and the MF-4 on my 621-F. The MF-4 really opens up the high register for that horn also, and gives it more presence for a horn known to get lost out in the room. IF I put the MF-4 in the York/King Frankentuba, it REALLY cleans up the attacks, giving the horn a great punch, but it looses some of the deapth of sound (tremendous depth for that matter) that I love so much, so I have chosen sound over ease of playing in that instance. Of note: my Mira 186 really likes the MF-2. I own a PT-50, Mira C9 (rose orchestral), Shilke Helleberg, and the original mouthpiece with the 621 (can't remember the # + at work)... These are all collecting dust in the wake of the MF's.
