Lew, the main slide and the slides on the front are to be tuned in the regular way.

The three slides on the back only come into play on (all) of the pitches below two-ledger low Bb (ending at "open" low Eb)...and perhaps on 1st-ledger-below-staff E natural.

If you're instrument is like most 4V compensators, your all-valves-down several-ledger-lines low E natural will be quite sharp, and common tuning specifically for that pitch will (IMO) be a mistake...

You can yank on the (front) #1 or #3 slide for the occasional important-to-be-in-tune low E natural.
