Don't reject the mixer unless you really need the hundred bucks. A mixer is a handy thing to have. I use one for making CD's from recordings, where you need to fade or mix in another source to your CD, like a voice-over. Hang on to it, and if you end up with no use for it, you can always pop it on ebay.
