Find out where he stores it and burn it or just cut the cord off his amp! I flat refuse to play with an electrified group... much less compete with a bass guitar. I don't play rock or country music and they shouldn't play Dixie! The community band I founded three years ago has not been confronted with this problem... mainly because I have never encouraged a guitar player to join us. I also double on electric bass and string bass but would never do so in either our concert band or Dixie ensemble. However, unless YOU are in control, you may not have a choice other than to leave the group. Guitars and keyboards have their place. So do tubas. Just my opinion.
