The MW182 is a VERY small instrument, usually referred to as "the vacation horn" because it is easy to fit into a loaded car to take along on vacation. It plays with a nice sound but the sound doesn't have a lot of "meat" to it. The low register has the usual problems associated with F tubas of this type - when you push the 4th valve down things tend to become a bit uncentered and focus is an issue. The Yamaha however, has a bigger sound than it's size would make you think and it has a low register that is incredible. When you push down the 4th valve on the 621 you would swear that you are playing a CC tuba. No kidding! There are no focus issues and the sound is rock solid. That's why I own one.

Let me know if you have any more questions I can assist with.

Roger
