I am pretty sure that there were a whole bunch of resumes sent for this job. I am thinking at least 500 tubists mailed one in. They are probably sorting out the three piles now- 1) you are invited to audition, 2) please send a tape, 3) sorry, but you are not a qualified applicant for this job. Considering that I am a full-time professional player, I am still skeptical about getting a clear invitation to audition(I hope that I do). They are really emphasizing "a limited number of applicants will be invited". So, no one should get their heart broken. If you are a full-time professional tubist in an orchestra with a salary of at least $30,000, then they may consider you to audition.
Its going to be tough.
