All the audition notices I've seen recently allow audio CD's, and that's by far the easiest medium to produce at home.

The time to transfer the recording into the computer is a major factor, and a stumbling block for me, too. It means that I undertake fewer projects. In our new house, however, recording myself directly into the computer should not be that hard--I just haven't worked out the details yet. Starting a stopping remotely is a trick, though. The computer is in a loft overlooking the room I'd be playing in. So, start the recording, run down the stairs, play the lick, run back up the stairs, and stop the recording. What a pain.

Next time I do it, I may well borrow the presentation projector and wireless mouse from the office, heh, heh.
