I've owned ProTec, Reunion Blues/Cronkhite, Altieri and B&S gig bags. I have definitely been least impressed with the ProTec. They have soft foam, they don't support the horn well, the straps are poorly made, they're just disappointing. I sold mine to buy a Cronkhite bag which has been nothing but a pleasure for me. I really like the Altieri bag - it's very light, well made, and has enough padding that I feel comfortable using it. It's very compact, especially because of the drawstring around the bell & the tightening straps. The B&S bag is good too, but not as protective as the Cronkhite. One thing I like about the B&S bag is that the bell end of the bag is round, as opposed to the square Cronkhite. This makes it easier to get in & out of cars, and it's just less bulky.

my 2 cents...
