As far as I'm concerned, these instruments "puff" like a dream. The lower Eb is "barely" flat, but not nearly as flat as Besson. The "tuning" Bb is right in tune, whereas the Willson's "tuning" Bb and A are flat...
...of course, without "compensating" valves, it's a lot of trouble to play low B natural (whatever). With the OLDER 321 (like this one) the #3 slide is VERY long, so you can pull it out in advance to play ANY below-range pitch in tune.
