And the person who bought it from me was planning to use it on a 36J. I don't believe that Conn made upright bells for the 3XJ series when they were made in the 1930s, so you would need to find a 2XJ bell. They are out there, but do command a high price. I believe that Lee Stofer has one available. I have seen 21/25Js sell for less than $1000, so you might be able to buy the whole tuba, trade bells with your 34J, then sell the 20/24J that results for close to what you paid for it. I haven't seen any recently at that price though, so it will take some looking.
