King 1135!!! 3/4 size front action valves allow smaller players to easily handle the instrument and very reasonably priced. The front action valves allow the player to rotate the horn in a manner that the mouthpiece can be easily brought to the player's mouth. Not impossible with the upright valves, just noticeably more awkward. Very similar to the old Yamaha 103. I've suggested this model to some middle school band directors and they have been very happy with it. Made of a generally sturdy metal and replacement parts are reasonably priced. Case is also very sturdy molded plastic. Other aspects to keep in mind with middle school kids.
