(Think if the 4/4 Hirsbrunner piston tubas. They "almost" play in tune up-and-down on the open pitches with no valves depressed. Start depressing valves and...)
- If ANY tuba manufacturer "almost" has "the secret", maybe it's Miraphone. Their tubas (unlike most others') "almost" play in tune. (I don't think Miraphone has "the secret".)
