We turn down our heat to 58 also and even have an Aprilaire (sp?) humidifier that goes with the furnace. Still am succeptible (sp?) to dry lips overnight. I don't think I'm able to breathe through my nose much at night. I also stay well hydrated during the day which helps me not have to use anything but then taper off at night so I'm not getting up multiple times. I can't spell in the winter either.
