. . I just think it's a fascinating topic. I'm also interested in genuine progress. If double horns weren't some kind of improvement, nobody would have bothered with them, regardless of how they're employed, right? The VPO uses an indiginous form of single F horn (one that's very close to a valveless, natural horn in timbre), but hasn't seem to have caught on anywhere else. I find that interesting.
