I agree with TubaMaster. You HAVE to work on details, even for small orch. jobs today. That is what I am being taught, and you need to have the consistency of playing with a great amount of detail or you won't get far. I think it is great that so many tuba players play so polished and consistent today. It gives more respect for our instrument.
