Yes on Oberheu's statement on Budapest. FYI - Future ITEC's are planned to be on a 2 or 3 year basis. Regional/district workshops (conferences/meetings/symposiums....) will fill the void. This approach is actually similar the original T.U.B.A. concept of conferences. One major aspect to putting the international conference on a 2 to 3 year interval comes down to expense. Geographic disbursement of our membership places a significant financial travel burden on any given member for travel to an international conference. Especially when traveling with an instrument. I.T.E.C.'s also rely on significant corporate support. And although the financial support is still there, annual I.T.E.C.s are stretching these dollars thin. And...and...and... I feel the bottom line is that there will be gatherings of tuba and euphonium players more often and more convient. Maybe smaller, bust just as significant.
