May I start the recommendations with:

Michigan
Indiana
Northwestern
Arizona State
Illinois
Cincinnati
Cleveland (good luck, they've never taken a tuba DMA)
Julliard (good luck, they've taken one or two and may not have actually had anyone attend)
Eastman
Georgia (wait a year or two for that incredible quintet assistanship)
North Texas
USC

All these schools have first rate teachers, resources and enviable graduate populations. Of course there are others... but this is a quick list.
