Both horns you just mentioned are very fine tubas. I have played both of them, and both have a nice full consistent sound, response and pitch. I think the Willson is very easy to play in all registers, and has a much more solid low register than most F tubas, even the MW45SLP, but I still think the Meinl has a darker/warmer tone than the Willson. Both are very nice horns. Much better than most other F tubas out there IMO. I will probably get flames for this, but I have never really liked the B&S tubas, though I am sure they work great for a lot of people. I think B&S Fs' have a no-slotting low range, as well as a less desirable sound than some other Fs out there.
