I've bought a horn that was listed on the famed auction site. The seller had it listed starting at the selling price rather than a reasonable opening bid range. I contacted him after the listing expired with no bids, and it turned out that he(a reputable orch. member) was in need of cash, so I was more than glad to help him. We agreed on a price and an approval period, and both went away happy. I've also had good luck with a new dent/scratch model I found for a student at Brasswind, but with their new site format, I don't see any used or damaged instruments listed anymore(dang).
