What Sean is referring to is the Aviation Security Bill that was passed last October by congress. The first draft of this bill would have had rules that would have prohibited musicians from traveling with instruments in-cabin. This would have severly limited orchestras from touring and presenting guest artist and burden auditioning musicians. It was through lobbying by the AFM and ICSOM and the generosity of Senator Daniel K. Inouye that today musicians can carry instruments in-cabin. This does not help our cause but this is the channel in which we should operate. The airlines have NO reason to negotiate any kind of a settlement with a bunch of clowns from ITEA (in which I am not and will never be a member of again). What kind of pressure would ITEA have in getting any airline to agree to this. Answer: NONE
