I am a tuba player in yes the Heritage of America band, go figure, and I own my own PT-20. I like it so much that I had the band purchase me one to limit the damage to my own horn. I feel that it is a good blend between the four and the six, kind of the best of both worlds. As far as the slide diff., I think that it is just the first valve slide that is somewhat difficult to access. Good luck with it and maybe we will run into each other sometime.
