I guess it saying what is music is like saying what is classic literature? I hate Huck Finn, but anything by Dumas is good. I don't like rap, but Bach is really good. Likewise, though, i think Dougals Adams is good literature, and i think stuff like Eric Clapton and Dave Matthews is good music.
It's all in what we EACH like that defines our standard of comparison.
Of course ive never heard anyone HATE Bach, they may not listen to it as their main source of enjoyment, but they respect it and can listen to it if need be. Rap on the other hand........
I guess it's like St. Pete tubas: you love or you hate it.
