If you go to school first, the Army will pay your NEED BASED loans up to $65,000. They will not pay back loans that you have that are not based on your financial need.

If you go into the Army first, you can get the Army College Fund as well as the GI Bill. I don't know what it pays exactly (it keeps going up), but I'll be getting $1,200 every month that I'm enrolled in school full time (up to 36 months).

Not a bad deal considering you get paid for a full time gig while you're in... and you can go to school a bit while you're in as well.

I'm not a recruiter, but e-mail me if you have any questions. I had a great time while I put in my time and I learned a lot about people, organization, and myself.
