If he's single and would like to check out another part of the globe, Korea is great. I did a year in Seoul and had a great time. I did take my wife and she enjoyed it also. There is a lot of Army stuff if Korea but that's the nature of the beast. It's still a war zone folks. The two bands on the peninsula have reportedly gone to an all-musical mission. Haven't confirmed that one yet. I've been at a MACOM for four years now and there's just as much bs, just about different things. Any one assignment can be good. It's up to you and the people around you to help that succeed. Obviously there are always problems whether it be people or situations. The service bands are a good gig. I'm not a recruiter and don't want to be one, but it is a steady check, I play quite a bit, and my family is taken care of. Other than some of the rotten places we are sometimes sent, it's a good life.
