I have never been able to figure out why so many people think that everything played by the CSO has been so incomparable. Listen to all of these recordings carefully and check out the poor ensemble. Why do folks defend these recordings? Let's face it, the old Kubelik "Pictures" and the old Ozawa RCA Pictures the solo is too out of tune to be acceptable. The fact is there are not too many guys out there with big jobs who studied with Mr. Jacobs. To me, this provincial thinking has eliminated much of the competition.
