I have been playing a tuba for 5-6 years now. I play in marching bzands, pep bands, seniour orchestras, etc. I had used a VMI then switched to a Cerveny Helicon due to playing in more pep bands, dixie, etc. I am strictly a community band-level player who enjoys the tuba. The problem is I have an illness which has causes some mild shortness of breath and has gotten to the point that I can't horse my helicon around anymore. So, I am going to sell my horn and an looking for another horn. I would prefer a smaller, easy to hold and easy to blow horn. I have no tuba store anywhere on my part of the planet to try a bunch out. I have heard that the Jupiter 582 might be a good bet. I have also been told that the King 2341 would fill the bill. Are there any other smaller 4 valve instruments to consider. What are the pros and cons of the Jupiter and King? Are they similar? Thanks for the help
