My first CC was a PT3 with rotors. It was a great sounding horn. In many ways I wish I had kept it. I had some tuning issues with my horn. It tended to play flat and I was never really comfortable on it. I know that they have modified the instrument slightly from the model that I bought. At Dillons they had a PT3 similar to mine but did some minor tweaks that reportedly really helped the horn. I am not sure of the details. I believe the problems I had were specific to this particular instrument. I have played the newer ones and find them to be excellent.

I really liked the instrument that I had and would buy another if I were in the market for a small CC. The rotors were quite friendly. I too have smallish hands and have chosen rotory tubas for this reason.
