I have a question for the people that have bought or sold a tuba at a convention. I'm in the market for a really high quality CC horn, something like a PT6 or a Hirsbrunner 21. I know that the display instruments that they bring to conventions usually have a discounted price. This is a really attractive when the horns are so expensive, but what quality of horns would they bring to a large convention like TMEA? One would think that they would bring their top of the line horns, to entice people to buy them. So what's the real deal with the tubas they bring? Has anyone bought a discounted display model at a convention like this one?
