Based strictly on past experience and having friends that have done this I think these tapes just need to display good tuba playing. I don't think it matters if you play F tuba, just good tuba. As far as what to put on the tape maybe a mvt. of a solo and 3 or 4 band excerpts. Whatever makes you sound the best
