I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but I highly recommend the jazz etude books by Jim Snidero. They are full length etudes (not just heads) that cover a range of jazz styles. I've got the bass trombone one, and it works very well on tuba (though at points it makes sense to read some of the lines down an octave). The book comes with an accomp. cd, with rhythm section in stereo and the bass trombone line played (by Tim Newman) in one channel, so by using the balance knob you can fade him out if you want to (if you want to solo, eg). It's an excellent book and it's lots of fun to play.
