Ahhh! (refreshing sigh)
I just got back from my first experience with the CSO. Phenomenal performance! Rachmaninov Piano Concerto 2 and Tchaikovsky's 5th. The brass sounded absolutly amazing, except for the flat horn solo in the second movement of the Tchaikovsky -- still a great sound, though. The bad pitch can be overlooked, though, as I sat in my seat (top row, fifth floor, right behind the poll) with chills running down my spine as that second movement ended.
I'll be going back.
