I read on this board that they've offered to replace pistons on all of the instruments with pistons that continuously turn black and stick, but I've not checked that out by calling Jupiter in Austin and asking them directly. Jupiter used to copy the old Olds/Reynolds bracing system with that tragedy-bound studs-in-the-fiberglass system and I believe that they've almost completely abandoned it and have attempted to make their fiber sousa look much more like King's bracing system, though the one's I've seen are still much more light-duty than King and still suffer significantly more with abuse.

For comparison purposes, I just made a couple of (Elkhart, Indiana) Conn 36K sousas look and play like new, stuck them in new SKB cases, and sold them to a school for around $1500 each.
