As a trombone player that doubles on euphonium, I'd reccomend just using the same mouthpiece. The two instruments, especially at the level you would be playing them, can have the same embouchure and I think that is what you should go for. the only hinderance I can see the trombone doing is in your euphonium technique, but aside from that, playing trombone should only help you. Make certain you can use the same mouthpiece for both though, even if it mean using a smaller trombone (i find most baritones to have small shank recievers while trombones normally have large). You can also just get a large bore 6 1/2AL or whatever you are using if this is the case.
