That reminds me of a funny story. My first tuba that I bought when I got back into playing was delivered from the factory (King) to my house because the original one that was sent to the store was damaged in shipping. When I got the call that the horn was being delivered I stayed home from work to be there when they dropped it off. To my surprise an 18-wheeler tractor trailer pulled up in front of my house on our little residential street. From what I remember the only thing on that truck were the 3 boxes containing the tuba and the 2 cases. It was certainly the safest way to deliver the horn, but I have to imagine that UMI didn't make much money on this one, since they paid for the shipping!!
