I have been using PrintMusic from Coda (Finale) This is a less powerful, spelled complicated, version of Finale. It works pretty well for what I've been doing which is making clear copies of old music, rewriting trombone parts for tuba, etc. It has full orchestral and midi capabilities, but I haven't use them yet. The documentation is not as helpful as it might be and I've had to spend some time figuring out how to do what I want to do. I gave up on trying to put rehearsal number or letter in circle or squares and emailed Coda for help. The reason I could do it was, the program won't do it. Big deal. Not too expensive, about $70 from BWW (others too, I'd assume) Prints beautiful copies and save of course.
