My name is Chuck Koontz. I recently graduated from Biola University (a private Christian University with a great music program) in Los Angeles, CA with a Bachelor's of Music in Tuba Performance. I play in the Young Musician's Foundation Debut Orchestra and the American Youth Symphony. I am working full time at the Biola University Library to pay rent and all that stuff. I'm getting married in June to a wonderful woman I've known since sixth grade beginning band when I was a cocky saxophone player. Her best friend said that she should like me then but she thought otherwise. We started dating the day before we graduated from high school. I started playing tuba half way through high school and fell in love with it.
Career-wise I hope to get an orchestra gig just like most every other tuba player on the BBS.
Oh yeah, and my uncle is a long-time friend of Gene Pokorny, so that makes me cool.
