I was at Dillon's week before last for a consultation. I had hoped to play the Beuscher in question, but Matt told me it had been sold. I did get to play on a Conn CC with 4 short actions and a 5th rotary. Also a Beuscher, formerly a 3 top action piston BB, reconstructed as a front-action 5 valve rotary CC. These are GREAT instruments by any reckoning. I forget exactly how Matt put it, but I believe what he meant was that the players they are destined for will find their way to them. He needed fewer words. I can hardly WAIT for the little job he's going to do one one of my tubas.

Anyone within a day's drive or traintrip should try these horns. Further away? Weigh your options and your needs.
