Vaughan Williams first movement for district solo contest as a senior in high school. I have difficulty with memorization and the solo had to be memorized in order to achieve a 1 rating. Non memorized pieces were automatically demoted to a 2 rating. I got to about the middle of the first page and forgot how the thing went, picked up the horn, and proceeded to leave. That was also my shortest performance ever.
