Dave,
I currently play a PT4P and am using a Laskey 30H. I used to play on a Dillion M1C, Wick 2L, Shilke Helleberg II and I am borrowing my friends PT88. For me the M1C has a rim diameter that is too large and gives me a spread sound, although I can bend notes easier. I find that the PT88 reacts much the same way for me and I am planning on returning it to my friend soon. The Wick 2 was alittle small for my tastes but works well with many horns, I would also suggest that you try the Wick 1. I really liked the Shilke Helleberg II but find it a little small for me so the Laskey, a slightly modified Shilke Helleberg II works great for me.
Aside from my suggestions, I would say go to Dillion's and try as many mouthpieces that you can get on your face. This is what I do when I want a new mouthpiece. Matt is patient enough with me to let me try as many different mouthpieces as I want to and he even offers some good suggestions and a fairly impartial ear.
My two cents.
Henry
