This might seem like the "submersion" method, but, heck, I'm being submerged in CC fingerings to learn em right now. This requires a partner. Have this partner hold an index card up to the music and move it along, covering up the music you are playing at that exact moment with the card. One beat or so difference should do the trick. This'll force you to be playing the previous beat while looking at the next beat or beyond. A private instructor would probably be willing to do this.
My old quintet instructor, who was actually a bassoonist, got to the point where he would sometimes read a measure ahead. Pretty impressive.
