Hi from Germany!
Rudolph Meinl is a smallish company bearing the name of its founder. If You want to check a map of germany, You wanna get Yourself a fairly detailed one to be shure the little village "Diespeck/Aisch" (funny name, I know!) is actually listed. Probably has bout 1200 inhabintants or so... Weestish from Nrnberg. Honestly, if You saw the place,Youd NEVER believe half the BB-Tubas presently sold around the world comes from there!
Meinl-Weston however is (not much bigger a factory) situated in a (also tiny) town southwest of Munich named Geretsried. Theyre doing the other half of worldwide Tuba-sales. (so they say)
Now, the only relations there are, is the pure coincidence of names, plus the competitive side of business. I mean, how many Graingers, Potters, Smiths etc will You find in every major US-city.....? So, sooner or later Youll have two people bearing the same family name and also having the same identical job. and thats what happened here: just dont ask one about the other, cause Youd never get an honest answer..
Hope this answers your question
