I listen to their show from time to time, and sometimes I wish they'd stop laughing and answer the doggone question. If find myself knowing the answer more often than they do.

You would think that it is an advantage to be able to store vast amounts of information about a variety of subjects. But it's not. Actually, it's a disease. It's a variant of Male Answer Syndrome that is genetic with those born to be engineers. My wife, bless her, thinks it's cute (for now). But she has not yet endured terminal MAS for years at a time. I foresee difficulties ("Honey, I DON'T CARE why! JUST FIX IT!").

Of course, the facts that get stored aren't always the important facts. My mother's Christmas present is still sitting in the den because I keep forgetting to take it to the post office.
