After getting very frustated trying to buy a good used Bb 4 valve/ rotor tuba on E-bay, I will try this route to find a good instrument. The tubas on E-bay get bid out of sight and seem to be more than they are worth. I am not a professional player, but I do play several times a week in a community band and a brass ensemble. I would prefer Bb ( too old to learn another fingering chart)and possibly silver or nickel finish. I own a Yamaha YBB 201S which I really like but I would like more range. Anybody have a Bb tuba for sale or make a recommendation.
