The horn and mouthpiece are immaterial to the point I was making. The point is that the Bobo Solo produces this sound consistently for me on my tuba and most other tubas on which I have tried it. I don't presume to know (or especially care) how Bobo got the sound. I needed and example and did not feel enough of you had heard the recordings of Schnertze Chaim to use those as an example, so I used Bobo's sound on Effie as teh example.
