The Hindemith was also recorded by Oystein Baadsvik. I don't recall the label that the cd was released under, though. Also there is a wonderful recording by Gene Pokorny, part of a double cd set of Hindemith brass sonatas, which is available from Summit records. There is apparently a recording of Mr. Torchinsky doing it with pianist Glenn Gould, which from what I hear, is a horse of a totally different color, from an interpretation standpoint, although I've never heard it. Is this one out of print? In any event, All three of the recordings I've heard (Baadsvik, Bobo, and Pokorny) are as wonderful as you might expect, considering the players. I'm personally partial to the Pokorny recording, though.
As to the Vaughn-Williams, the cd someone mentioned earlier is of John Fletcher playing it. The disc also contains the 5th Symphony and "Three Portraits from the England of Elizabeth", I think.
