Simple solution for you.
Go to a tuba store, try it out and if possible put a downpayment on it and take both to a rehearsal.
Change the fingerings on the music ahead of the rehearsal so you can play a couple of songs on the CC and then play the BBb and see what hits you sound and playing wise and the tonality and intonation of the tuba with the group.
Then you will know for yourself.
This is a personal question as to which only you can answer to make your mind know what you want.
Everyone is different and their answer is still not yours and you need to see what you like. You may love CC and think that it is worth it no matter what music or key you play in. If you master your instrument, what does it matter what key the tuba is in and what keys you are playing. Play the tuba and own it because you like it and love the sound and you want to play it. The key is YOU and YOUR likes.
To me the keys shouldn't matter, just the sound of the tuba and if you like it or not.
If you like the CC in the group, then go for it. If you like the BBb better, then stay playing it.
