As far as replacement pistons for an Olds O-99 (assuming some disaster, once owned), one could purchase a super-crappy beat-up fiber Olds or Reynolds sousa (or brass body missing the bell, etc.) off of ebay to harvest replacement pistons. The Olds/Reynolds sousa pistons will have larger bore ports, but their port openings and piston diameters will be compatable with the O-99 tuba.
Incidentally, the Reynolds "sister" (exactly the same) of the O-99 was called a model TB-10.
