Thank you very much for the info, Rob. I like the part about "free and easy blowing" which is certainly the case with this tuba. Does your catalog show pictures or give original prices? I took some photos and will try to post them by tomorrow. If anyone's interested, I can send them via email as well(mgherbert(AT)yahoo.com). I also re-measured the horn - it's 36" in length, not 40", but the other measurements are pretty close: bell is about 22.5 (I had thought it was 24) and the weight is 25lb. Serial number is 203015 which puts it around 1923-24.
