My Willson certainly IS a compensating tuba. I can't tell you the model number (3+1 piston set-up)...how does one find these things out with a 10 year old horn? The DEG page doesn't list an instrument like mine, I guess Willson no longer makes them? This is sad.
I assumed that Jules' post refered to a tuba similar to mine, as he mentioned it was 5 years old, and had only four valves (although the confusion is whether they're Rotax or not. So an educated guess is that we ARE talking about a compensating tuba here.
