Gotta wonder if age is the only variable at work here. Seems that we need to look at all contributing factors. Is our physical condition on a comparable level to our younger selves? Or are we, as so many of our peers, getting a bit round bout the middle. The age thing brings with it something which is lost on youth. Perspective, experience, and appreciation, which only time will give. Our physical condition is in our control through good habits, working out, eating and drinking responsibily, etc. Old bodies, like old horns, may indeed require a bit more upkeep, but the effort is often well rewarded.
